Sometimes, nothing looks particularly wrong from the outside.
You’re going to work, replying to messages, laughing when you’re supposed to. But your mind won’t switchoff at night. A conversation keeps replaying. A relationship feels different and you don’t know how to fix it. You’re tired of overthinking, tired of being the strong one, or simply tired of feeling like you should be doing better than you are.
That’s often where therapy begins.
Hi, I’m Samitha, a counselling psychologist with over 6 years of experience across hospitals, EAP platforms, and private practice. Over the years, I’ve sat beside people through some very difficult chapters, trauma, anxiety, grief, burnout, self-harm and suicidal thoughts, family conflict, low confidence, body image struggles, and periods where life simply felt too heavy.
Relationships are also a big part of my work. Sometimes it’s a marriage going through a difficult phase. Sometimes it’s trust that has been broken, communication that keeps turning into conflict, a breakup you’re struggling to move through, or the painful feeling of being lonely inside a relationship.
In therapy, I’m not interested in simply telling you what to do. I’m interested in understanding why certain patterns keep showing up, what your emotions may be trying to tell you, and what can actually change.
My approach is warm, collaborative and flexible. I draw from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness Based Approaches, Behaviour Modification, Motivational Therapy, Positive Psychotherapy and deeper exploratory work depending on what you need.
Some sessions may help you understand yourself better. Others may be about learning to regulate overwhelming emotions, setting boundaries without drowning in guilt, communicating differently, or rebuilding confidence one small step at a time.
I work in English, Hindi, Tamil, Marwadi and Gujarati, both online and in person.
You don’t have to arrive with a perfectly explained problem. Sometimes, “I don’t really know what’s wrong, but I know I’m not okay” is more than enough to begin.
You bring your story. We’ll make sense of it together.Sometimes, nothing looks particularly wrong from the outside.
