Dr Shikha Soni

In my practice, I aim to integrate positive psychological approaches into my therapy to support clients dealing with loss and grief. Hey, I'm Shikha Soni,a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India. I hold a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, focusing on how people positively adapt to loss through their life stories. Before my Ph.D., I completed an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from the Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Kanke, Ranchi. I gained valuable experience working with in-patient and out-patient clients across various departments during this time and following my M. Phil., I worked as a Senior Research Fellow at NIMHANS (Bengaluru), studying the effectiveness of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). I also hold bachelor's and master's degrees in Psychology from Delhi University. Moreover, I gained practical experience at Medanta- The Medicity (Gurugram) and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital (Delhi). I'm also trained in various psychological assessment methods and therapies like cognitive behavior therapy, behavior therapy, couples, and marital and family therapy.
