Dr Aishwarya Sachdeva

Dr. Aishwarya practices online and sees patients from all over India. She did her graduation (MBBS) from Lady Hardinge Medical College, where she developedan interest in Psychiatry as a branch. She then moved to Bangalore for post-graduation, which she completed at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) - the apex center for mental health and neuroscience education in the country. While there, she received a gold medal (given to the university topper) in her MD degree. Here, she got extensive training and experience in treating a wide variety and even difficult-to-treat psychiatric illnesses, including childhood disorders, disorders in the elderly, and rehabilitation, as well as training in specific units such as those for schizophrenia, OCD, women's mental health, etc. During this time, she also got hands-on experience with non-invasive brain stimulation techniques such as rTMS, and tDCS, both clinically and as part of her MD thesis program, for which she received the ICMR scholarship, given to the top few MD theses in the country every year. After that, she got into the year-long, post-doctoral fellowship in Obsessive-Compulsive and related disorders (OCD, Body dysmorphia, Hypochondriasis, Skin picking/ Hair pulling, Tics, etc) at the OCD Clinic at NIMHANS. During this program, she received training and supervised the care of patients with these disorders in the form of medication, psychotherapy, brain stimulation (rTMS, deepTMS, and tDCS), and overall management, including the provision of guidance to family members.
